Financial Services to Protect Yourself From All of Life’s Unexpected Expenses

Medigap and Medicare Advantage, + Dental, Life Insurance, Long-term Care, Disability Insurance, and more!

At MediGap Advisors, we believe in helping you protect yourself against unexpected expenses while keeping your costs lost.  We also believe in taking the complex topic of insurance and making things simple and easy to understand.

In addition to Medigap and Medicare Advantage coverage, we help our members with life insurance, long-term care insurance, dental coverage, and more!  We are here to make it easy.

Life Insurance

Second only to insuring your health is insuring your life. In most cases, we believe that purchasing a term life policy makes the most sense, as it provides coverage for a set period of time and is the least expensive life insurance plan there is.

You can choose coverage amounts starting at $50,000. You can also choose how long you would like the term to be, from 10 years on. At the end of whatever term you choose, you can either renew your term policy (although the rate will be slightly higher due to age and health factors) or apply for a new policy.

Rates for a policy vary by age, location and lifestyle choices such as tobacco use. MediGap Advisors has access to the lowest life insurance rates available. Visit our Term Life Insurance page to receive a general estimate of the rates you will pay, or get a specific quote.

Self-funded Pension Plans

Self-funded pension plans are designed to provide you with a guaranteed monthly income over time. If you’re concerned that you may outlive your retirement savings, an self-funded pension plan may be just the ticket for you.

For more information on the benefits of self-funded pension plans and the companies that we represent, visit our Self-funded pension plans page.

Disability Insurance

You might be over 65 and eligible for Medicare. But that doesn’t always mean you’ve stopped working. If you sustained an injury that keeps you out of work for an extended time, how would you pay your living expenses?

Disability insurance pays you a weekly sum if you’re out of work due to an injury. It starts paying when you’ve been out of work for 14 days, and continues to pay, either $250 or $500 per week, depending on the level of coverage you select. Rates are very low for these types of policies.

Go to our Accidental Disability Coverage page to learn more about this type of coverage.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Over a third of people aged 65 and older will spend at least some time in a long-term care facility. Medicare does not cover a stay in any type of facility, nor do Medicare supplement policies.  In order to make sure you are covered in the event of a move to an assisted living facility or having to have someone come into your home to assist with your daily needs, a long-term care insurance policy is vital.

For more information about how to choose a policy, or to submit a request to speak with a long-term health insurance expert, please visit our Long-Term Care page.

Dental Insurance

Since Original Medicare does not cover any type of dental services, we offer several different options to help with your dental expenses.

The first of these is the Spirit Senior Dental Plan, which is available for anyone aged 65 and older. This is a guaranteed acceptance plan, and offers maximum amounts of up to $3,000 per year with a $50 deductible for both preventive and basic or major services.  The Spirit Dental page can provide more detailed information.

We also have a discount plan available called the Careington (CARE) plan.  Although this is not an insurance policy and you are responsible for all of the costs, your dental services can be greatly discounted through this plan.  There are over 60,000 providers who participate in the CARE network.  To see the participants in your area, please visit the Careington website.

Lastly, DentalPlans.com offers a discount program for those whose dental provider does not participate in the CARE network.  Signing up through MediGap Advisors for one of the 30 plans available also gives you three months free as well as an additional 10 percent off.  Please visit Dentalplans.com to find a plan that best fits your needs.

Final Expense Insurance

Final Expense Insurance – The National Funeral Directors Association estimates that the expenses associated with death and burial average between $6000 and $15,000. This can include pre-burial expenses such as ambulance and physician’s charges, burial expenses like caskets and vaults, and post-burial expenses such as probate costs and final debts.

Final Expense Insurance is a form of life insurance that is specifically-designed to pay these expenses. Typically the face value of these policies is low – averaging around $35,000 – and subsequently the premiums are low as well. Most people can qualify based on their health status, and once purchased the premiums never increase and the policy cannot be canceled.

Final Expense Insurance protects your loved ones from the significant costs associated with death and burial. MediGap Advisors works with many A-rated insurance companies to provide this valuable coverage to our members. Visit our Final Expense page to learn more.
