Why Should I Get a Medicare Advantage Plan?

Whether you’re enrolling in Medicare for the first time or looking to reduce your monthly costs, the most important thing to remember is that Original Medicare (Parts A & B) only covers a portion of your medical expenses. From copays and deductibles to prescription drugs, there are some things that Medicare beneficiaries have to pay out-of-pocket.

Medicare Advantage, or Part C, is a type of Medicare that is operated through a private insurance company. These plans can include coverage that fills the gaps in Original Medicare.

In addition to better coverage and more comprehensive protection, many Medicare Advantage plans come with low or even $0 premiums.
